Returns & Exchanges Policy
RATEFIT, LLC
RETURNS & EXCHANGES POLICY
Effective Date: May 15, 2026
This Returns & Exchanges Policy (this “Policy”) describes how returns and exchanges work for products (“Products”) purchased from RateFit, LLC (“RateFit”). Capitalized terms not defined in this Policy have the meanings given in the RateFit Terms of Sale (the “Terms”), available at Terms of Sale – RateFit. This Policy is incorporated into the Terms by reference and supplements Section 5 of the Terms.
To start a return or exchange, visit our returns portal at RateFit Returns.
Order of Precedence. In the event of a conflict between the Terms and this Policy with respect to returns, exchanges, or refunds, this Policy controls.
What This Policy Does Not Cover. Damaged or incorrect items received at delivery are addressed in Section 4.6 and Section 4.7 of the Terms, not this Policy — see Section 11 below. Defects in materials or workmanship are addressed in the Limited Warranty in Section 6 of the Terms, not this Policy — see Section 12 below.
1. QUICK SUMMARY
This section is a plain-language summary for your convenience. The full terms below control.
• Eligible Products may be returned within 30 days of delivery.
• Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with all tags attached.
• Free outbound and return shipping on all exchanges (size, color, or any other Product), processed through our returns portal.
• Return shipping for refunds: a flat $7.95 return shipping fee is deducted from your refund.
• Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 10 business days after we receive and inspect your return.
• “Final Sale” items cannot be returned, exchanged, refunded, or credited.
• Certain hygiene-sensitive items are not returnable — see Section 4.
• Damaged or incorrect items: report within 7 days of delivery under Section 4.6 of the Terms (not this Policy).
2. RETURN WINDOW
Eligible Products may be returned for refund or exchange within thirty (30) days of delivery. The 30-day period runs from the date the carrier marks your shipment as delivered. Returns initiated after the 30-day window are not eligible for refund or exchange except as required by non-waivable consumer law.
3. ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for return or exchange, Products must:
• be unworn and unwashed;
• be in original condition (no signs of wear, washing, alteration, damage, odor, stains, makeup, deodorant marks, lint, pet hair, or modification);
• have all original RateFit hangtags and price tags attached;
• include any original packaging, hardware, accessories, gift items, or promotional items shipped with the Product; and
• be accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or order confirmation email).
We reserve the right to refuse, reject, or accept-at-reduced-refund any return that does not meet these conditions. Products that show signs of wear, washing, alteration, or damage may, at RateFit’s sole discretion, be (a) refused and returned to you at your expense, (b) accepted at a reduced refund amount reflecting diminution in value, or (c) destroyed if not retrievable, with no refund.
4. FINAL SALE AND NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
4.1 Final Sale. Items marked “Final Sale” are sold on a non-returnable, non-exchangeable, non-refundable basis and are not eligible for return, exchange, refund, or credit, except as required by non-waivable consumer protection law. Final Sale status is shown on the Product page, in the cart, at checkout, and on the order confirmation. Final Sale status applies regardless of any subsequent inconsistent statement by any RateFit representative.
4.2 Hygiene-Excluded Items. For hygiene and safety reasons, the following items are not eligible for return or exchange:
• Underwear, briefs, thongs, boxers, and other base-layer Products worn against intimate skin areas;
• Swim bottoms (unless the hygienic liner is intact and the Product is otherwise eligible);
• Socks (unless unopened in sealed original packaging);
• Face masks, balaclavas, and other Products worn over the face or mouth;
• Gift cards; and
• Personalized, embroidered, monogrammed, or custom-made Products.
4.3 Pop-Up and In-Person Purchases. Products purchased at a RateFit pop-up store, brand event, expo, or other in-person venue where the original form of payment is not associated with a Site order in our system are sold Final Sale and are not eligible for return, exchange, refund, or credit through this Policy. Such purchases are handled exclusively through the in-person venue at the time of sale.
5. HOW TO INITIATE A RETURN OR EXCHANGE
5.1 Self-Service Portal. Returns and exchanges are initiated through our online returns portal at RateFit Returns (administered by Loop Returns). You will need your order number and the email address used at checkout. Through the portal, you may:
• identify the Products being returned;
• select a return reason;
• choose refund or exchange;
• obtain a return authorization (“RA”) number and a prepaid shipping label.
5.2 Alternative: Customer Service. If you are unable to use the portal, you may initiate a return by emailing support@ratefit.com with the following information:
• Your name and the email address associated with your order;
• Your order number;
• The Products you wish to return or exchange;
• Whether you want a refund or an exchange (and, for exchanges, the desired Product, size, or color);
• Your shipping address (including ZIP code) and phone number for any follow-up.
5.3 Shipment Window. Once you receive your RA and prepaid shipping label, you must ship the return within fourteen (14) days. Returns received after the 14-day shipment window may be refused or accepted at RateFit’s discretion.
5.4 Packing. Pack returned Products securely in the original packaging where possible. Include all original tags, hardware, accessories, and any gift or promotional items shipped with the Product. Include your RA number, order number, or printed return confirmation inside the package.
6. RETURN SHIPPING
6.1 Prepaid Label with Deducted Return Fee. RateFit provides a prepaid return shipping label through the returns portal. A flat return shipping fee of $7.95 per return shipment (the “Return Fee”) will be deducted from your refund. The Return Fee applies regardless of the number of Products in the return shipment. The Return Fee does not apply to: (a) returns of damaged or incorrect items handled under Section 11; (b) returns where RateFit is otherwise required to bear return shipping under applicable law; or (c) exchanges processed through the returns portal (see Section 7).
6.2 Returns Lost in Transit. RateFit is not responsible for return shipments lost or damaged in transit before receipt by our returns processor. The carrier’s loss-recovery process applies to packages shipped with the prepaid return label provided by RateFit. If a return is lost in transit while in the carrier’s possession, RateFit will work with you in good faith to investigate, but RateFit has no obligation to refund or replace a return that was not received.
7. EXCHANGES
7.1 Scope. You may exchange a Product for any other Product available on the Site (whether a different size, color, style, or SKU), for any reason, through the returns portal, subject to availability at the time the return is processed.
7.2 Eligibility. Exchanges are subject to the same eligibility requirements as returns (see Section 3) and the same Final Sale and hygiene-exclusion limitations (see Section 4).
7.3 Shipping for Exchanges — Free Both Ways. RateFit will provide a prepaid return label for the original Product and will ship the exchange Product to you free of charge. No Return Fee under Section 6 is deducted for exchanges processed through the portal. Exchanges are limited to one (1) exchange per original Product.
7.4 Unavailability. If the requested exchange Product is unavailable at the time your return is processed, we will refund the original payment method for the price of the returned Product (without deducting the Return Fee under Section 6, since the exchange was the customer’s requested resolution). We will notify you by email before issuing the refund.
7.5 Price Differences. If the price of the exchange Product differs from the price of the original Product (for example, due to a promotional discount, a price change, or selection of a higher- or lower-priced Product), we will issue a refund of the difference (if the exchange is for a lower-priced Product) or charge the original payment method for the difference (if the exchange is for a higher-priced Product). For price increases, your original payment authorization includes authority to charge the price difference; if your original payment method is no longer valid, we will contact you for an alternative payment method before shipping the exchange.
8. REFUNDS
8.1 Method. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout. If your original payment method is no longer valid (closed credit card, expired account, closed PayPal account, depleted gift card, etc.) at the time we issue the refund, we will, at our option, issue RateFit store credit or contact you to arrange an alternative refund mechanism.
8.2 Timing. Once we receive and inspect your returned Products, we will process your refund within ten (10) business days. Your bank, card issuer, or payment provider may require up to an additional seven (7) business days (or longer, depending on the provider) for the refund to post to your account.
8.3 Original Shipping Charges. Original shipping charges (charges you paid at the time of the original order) are non-refundable, except where (a) the return relates to damaged or incorrect items handled under Section 11 or (b) refund of original shipping is required by applicable law.
8.4 Promotional Discounts and Forfeited Thresholds. If your original order qualified for a promotional discount, free shipping threshold, or other promotional benefit because the order total exceeded a minimum threshold, and your return reduces the post-return order total below that threshold, the discount or benefit is forfeited and your refund will be reduced accordingly. Examples: (a) if free shipping was applied based on a $75 minimum order and your return drops the order below $75, the value of the shipping benefit may be deducted; (b) if a 15% discount required a $100 minimum and your return drops the order below $100, the discount value may be recouped.
8.5 Refund Amount Calculation. Your refund equals the Product price you paid (after any applicable promotional discount that survives the return), less (a) any Return Fee under Section 6, (b) any forfeited discount value under Section 8.4, (c) any reduction for non-compliance under Section 3, and (d) any deductions required by applicable law or contractually permitted offsets.
9. PARTIAL RETURNS
If your order contained multiple Products and you are returning only some of them, the refund is calculated on the price of the returned items only. The provisions of Section 8.3 (original shipping non-refundable) and Section 8.4 (forfeited promotional benefits) apply at the order level, not the line-item level, and may reduce the refund amount.
10. GIFT RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
If you received a Product as a gift from a RateFit customer, you may return or exchange it under this Policy if you have the order number, original receipt, gift receipt, or other reasonable proof of purchase. For gift returns and exchanges:
• Refunds for returned gifts are issued as RateFit store credit to the gift recipient. RateFit does not refund gift returns to the original purchaser’s payment method or to any other method;
• Exchanges of gifts for a different size, color, style, or other Product are processed through the returns portal per Section 7, subject to availability;
• RateFit will not disclose the price paid for a gifted Product to the recipient, other than the value of any resulting store credit;
• Without proof of purchase (order number, original receipt, gift receipt, or other reasonable proof), RateFit may decline the gift return or exchange.
11. DAMAGED OR INCORRECT ITEMS — SEE TERMS
Products that arrive damaged in transit, defective on arrival, or different from what you ordered are NOT addressed under this Policy. They are addressed under Section 4.6 (notification) and Section 4.7 (remedy) of the Terms (available at Terms of Sale – RateFit). To preserve your remedy, you must report damaged or incorrect items within seven (7) days of delivery, with photographs and a description, as required by Section 4.6 of the Terms. Damage or incorrectness reports made after the 7-day window may be declined.
12. WARRANTY CLAIMS — SEE TERMS
Defects in materials or workmanship in delivered, accepted Products are addressed under the Limited Warranty in Section 6 of the Terms (available at Terms of Sale – RateFit), not this Policy. The Limited Warranty has its own remedy framework, exclusions, and procedures. To request warranty service, follow the procedures in Section 6 of the Terms.
13. REFUSED OR UNDELIVERABLE SHIPMENTS
If you refuse delivery of a shipment, or a shipment is returned to RateFit as undeliverable due to an incorrect or incomplete address you provided, RateFit will, at its option: (a) issue a refund of the Product price (less any non-recoverable original shipping costs and any Return Fee under Section 6); or (b) arrange for reshipment at your expense. See Section 4.5 of the Terms.
14. REFUSAL OF RETURN OR EXCHANGE
RateFit may, in its reasonable discretion, refuse a return or exchange that:
• does not comply with the eligibility requirements in Section 3;
• involves a Final Sale or non-returnable Product under Section 4;
• is initiated outside the 30-day window in Section 2 (subject to applicable law);
• we reasonably suspect involves fraud, abuse, return abuse, or other violation of the Terms (including but not limited to: returns of products that appear to be counterfeit; returns of products not originally sold by RateFit; chronic high-return-rate customers where the pattern suggests “wardrobing” or other abuse); or
• is from a customer RateFit has previously notified is restricted from making further returns.
Refused returns may, at RateFit’s option, be (a) returned to the customer at the customer’s expense, (b) held for thirty (30) days at our facility for customer pickup or instructions, after which they may be disposed of or sold, or (c) where the return is suspected to be a fraudulent or stolen Product, retained pending investigation. Refusal of a return does not preclude RateFit from pursuing other remedies available at law or in equity.
15. NON-WAIVABLE CONSUMER RIGHTS
Nothing in this Policy is intended to waive any non-waivable right you may have under applicable consumer protection law. This Policy is in addition to, not in lieu of, any non-waivable consumer remedy you may have under federal or state law, including the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, the California Consumers Legal Remedies Act, the California Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, New York General Business Law § 349, the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act (M.G.L. c. 93A), and similar laws of other states. Where any provision of this Policy is restricted or unenforceable as to a particular customer or transaction under applicable consumer protection law, that provision is modified only to the minimum extent required, and the remainder of this Policy remains in full effect.
16. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
RateFit may update this Policy from time to time by posting the updated Policy on the Site with a new Effective Date. The Policy in effect at the time you placed your order applies to that order; modifications do not retroactively change the policy applicable to a completed transaction (except as required by law). For changes that materially reduce your rights with respect to a pending return or exchange, RateFit will use reasonable efforts to provide email notice to the affected customer.
